COUNSELLING

Counselling aims to help clients gain insight into their difficulties or distress, and enables them to find more appropriate ways of coping or bringing about changes in their thinking and behaviour. It usually involves exploring feelings, beliefs, thoughts and relevant events in a structured way with someone trained to help them do it safely.

STRESS MANAGEMENT

Stress management focuses on developing awareness of specific stressful situations and on working out strategies to best cope with them, as well as incorporating self- tailored relaxation practices.

EXISTENTIAL THERAPY

Existential therapy is centered on supporting the client to embark upon a descriptive investigation of his/her own experience. It aims to clarify the individual's understanding of values and beliefs, explicitly naming and questioning what has previously been left unspoken.

MINDFULNESS TRAINING

Mindfulness training uses the principles of meditation. This secular training develops one's awareness of the present moment, of oneself and of one's surroundings. It is a useful tool for anyone going through personal difficulties, or having issues with sleep, interpersonal conflicts or anxiety.

PRE / POST NATAL SUPPORT

Pre/post natal support is aimed not only at new or expectant mothers but also at fathers and/or siblings who may feel the need to unravel their thoughts and emotions around the time of birth.
